Who we are

Winds of Morocco is an independent travel publication focused on one country. We are not a travel agency, a tour operator or a booking platform: we do not sell trips, process payments or take reservations.

Our editorial mission

Morocco is easy to love and easy to get wrong. Travel times between regions are longer than they look on a map, medina logistics surprise first-time visitors, and much of what is written online is repetitive. Our goal is to give clear, direct answers first, then the practical depth needed to plan with confidence.

Every guide is built around a real question travelers ask, such as where to stay in a city or how to get between two places, and aims to answer it completely.

How content is researched

• Practical facts such as journey times, entry rules and opening arrangements are checked against official and reputable sources, including UNESCO, ONCF (the national railway), transport operators and official tourism bodies.
• Sources are listed at the end of each guide.
• Details that change often, such as prices and timetables, are described with care and readers are pointed to the official source.
• Each guide shows when it was published and when it was last updated. We never change dates just to make a page look new.
• AI tools may assist with research, outlines or translation drafts, but nothing is published without editorial review.

How recommendations work

We explain the options first: neighborhoods, accommodation types, transport modes and activities. Where it helps readers act on that advice, we may link to established booking partners. We never invent ratings, reviews, prices or testimonials, and we only show a rating when it comes from a verifiable source.

Languages

Our guides are published in English first. French, Spanish, German, Arabic and Chinese versions are written for each language rather than translated word for word, and are reviewed by fluent speakers before publication.
